Saxophone fans, check out this sweet little alto that just came into our shop! This Mark VI, with a serial number in the 197xxx range, dates back to 1972 and was hand made in Paris, France. It's a European-assembled horn with no engraving. Overall, the horn is in great condition, with very minimal scratching, no major dents, and an original neck that's free of pull-down or damage. The bottom bow has a small dent that is unable to be removed without replacing the bottom rooster resulting in lacquer loss. It in no way affects how the horn plays. After careful consideration and evaluation, we have determined that this horn has its original lacquer. Without any engraving present, it's difficult to be certain. However, the Selmer logo stamping on the bell is quite crisp with no signs of buffing. The color matches the European lacquer used during the period of production. The horn has recently received an overhaul (not by our shop), but we have thoroughly checked it to ensure everything is sealing and operating as it should.
