STUNNING… is the only word that came to mind when I first saw this 122xxx 1965 Selmer Mark VI Tenor Saxophone! The dark nitrocellulose lacquer is some of the most beautiful I have ever seen, and it is in fantastic condition with only a few areas of some light lacquer loss. (On the tops of a few key cups, and on the side of the body tube see photos). These Early 6 digit Mark VI tenors are some of my absolute favorite playing Tenors from roughly 100xxx-130xxx serial numbers I find the core of the sound and projection to be incredible. There are no large dings or dents in this beautiful horn and it has been fully professionally overhauled and needs nothing! The neck is in nearly factory perfect condition with no dents and no pull down whatsoever. The Neck also contains the ever important matching serial number stamping. The tone and intonation is flawless and also flexible in a way that only the Vintage Mark VIs can do. This is truly a spectacular example of a Selmer Mark VI Tenor and it will NOT be able for long!
